American salt producer in the
United States. During its 50 years in
the salt manufacturing business SolRey
has grown to become one of the leading
suppliers of commercial and industrial

improvements to its production facility
by introducing state-of-the-art

produces superior quality and highly consistent
product. SolRey Salt is available
in four grades to national and international markets.

The
industrial complex, with a
production area of 24,000 acres,
has been designed to process and
distribute bulk salt, refined salt
for human consumption, grinded
salt for animal feed and specially
sieved salt for industrial use.
This
facility has a current production
capacity of 600,000 tons of solar
salt per year. Product can be
transported by land, rail or
river.

In
anb effort to respond to customer needs in today’s global and competitive market,
SolRey invested in a state-of-the-art dock with a
conveyor belt system. This modern dock has a loading
capability of 400 tons per hour.

How
its made...
The
Sodium Chloride is obtained by extracting water from the
ocean and placing it into harvest ponds for solar
evaporation. Once the product has been properly processed,
it is then cleaned, treated,
and stored.
The
company has a diverse array of products capable of
satisfying the demands and needs of the industry and
commerce.
According to the Salt
Institute (the world's foremost source of authoritative
information about salt), salt (Sodium Chloride) has
approximately 14,000 different uses. Some of the
general uses of this element may be summarized in the
following manner:

a nutrient or flavoring for the food industry.

a conservative for meat and dairy products.
